CHRISTMAS APPRECIATION GIFTS

It always seems it is the week before Christmas and I am scrambling to get little gifts for those special people in my life that I appreciate – carpool buddy, mailman, kid's tutors, school nurse, husband’s staff, ect. Here are a few gifts I put together this year that you can get locally and don’t need to order online – and yes some give back!

I found this “AWESOME” book to give an awesome group of women that serve on a school committee with me. Sometimes it's easy to forget the things that make us smile during this busy time of year, but awesome things are all around us and give us joy: I started a countdown until Christmas of Awesome moments I experience each day – so follow me on Instagram or Facebook.

Add a little life to a room with this set of 4 Chinese Bud Vases from Wisteria. Add a beautiful flower arrangement and this makes a great gift for someone. Wisteria gives back to many different causes and features a new cause the 10th of every month.

The Akola Contemporary collection is new to Akola jewelry line. Each piece is hand-crafted by the members in Dallas, who are able to earn a living wage stateside. The collection features precious Egyptian agate,100% of product sales are reinvested in the social mission to empower women globally. Visit their beautiful store – 2646 Main St. Dallas

My friends and I love the Trader Joe's stores that are popping up in our neighborhoods. I snagged these great bath products at my local Trader Joe's. The body butter and sea salt scrub smells and feels awesome – a great gift for someone you appreciate.

I found this adorable accessory dish at Aaron Brothers for my friends that are “inspiring” people daily.

Love giving these GAIA pouches with a gift card or a fun shade of lipgloss inside. Gaia’s mission is to empower marginalized women through employment, encouragement, and dedication to their long-term success in our local communities. Through a living wage and continued training and development, their goal is to lead the women to financial independence and self-sufficiency.

It's the little things that count. Growing up, we loved See's Candies – especially the lollypops. I have continued the tradition with my kids and fill their stockings with Sees yummy little pops!  They also make great gifts!
